Allgäu Sonne - Oberstaufen

Located on a sunny, south-facing slope, the 5-star hotel welcomes you with a 2,100 m² wellness world with 2 indoor and 1 outdoor pool (in summer), whirlpool and panoramic sauna as well as the 235 m² panoramic fitness world. The sports department offers up to 8 sports courses and a guided hike every day (Mon-Sat). Oberstaufen town center can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. An underground car park and free on-site parking spaces are available.

All rooms at the Hotel Allgäu Sonne are equipped with a TV, minibar and safe. The different categories differ in location, size, equipment and furnishing style. Enjoy the view of the Allgäu mountains from our south-facing rooms with balconies.

Wellness facilities include 2 indoor and 1 outdoor pool in summer, a sauna, a steam room and a hot tub. In the fitness room you can enjoy the excellent view while working out on modern equipment. You can also look forward to a wide range of massages, beauty treatments and health programs. You can help yourself to fresh drinking water at any time in the fitness world, pool area, sauna and course room. In addition, juices and tea are offered in the pool area.

In the morning, enjoy the rich breakfast buffet. In the evenings, fine cuisine made from regional products is served. End the evening with live music and dancing in the Stießbergstüble dance hall.

The gourmet half board includes a 5-course selection menu in the evening from Monday to Friday, a themed buffet on Saturdays and a gala menu on Sundays. In summer you can enjoy the gourmet cuisine of the 5* hotel on the restaurant terrace.

As a guest of the Allgäu Sonne you receive a green fee discount of 30% at the Oberstaufen-Steibis Golf Club and 20% at the Bregenzerwald Golf Park.

The hotel day starts from hour 16:00 and ends at 12:00.

Please note that the outdoor pool is closed from 1 October to 30 April. The indoor pools are open throughout the year.


Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Standard Single Room. It features a single bed and a bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. Some rooms have a balcony. This north-facing room has a limited view to the courtyard. ;
Standard Double Room. This standard double room features a large double bed and a bathroom with a shower, cosmetic mirror and free toiletries. Some rooms have a balcony. This north-facing room features a partial view of thecourtyard. ;
Classic Single Room. This classic single room features a single bed, a separate seating area and a bathroom with a shower, cosmetic mirror and free toiletries. This north-facing room features a view of thecourtyard. ;
Comfort Single Room. This east or west facing room features a separate seating area and a balcony. The bathroom comes with a shower, cosmetic mirror and free toiletries. ;
Comfort Double Room. This comfort double room features a south-facing balcony with a panoramic view of the mountains. It offers a separate seating area. The bathroom comes with a shower, cosmetic mirror and free toiletries. ;
Superior Double Room. This superior double room in Alpine style features a south-facing balcony or French balcony with panoramic views, parquet flooring and a separate seating area. The bathroom comes with a shower, cosmetic mirror and free toiletries. ;
Junior Suite. This junior suite in Alpine style features a separate bedroom and living room, a south-facing balcony with panoramic views of the mountains and parquet flooring. The bathroom comes with a shower, bathtub, cosmetic mirror and free toiletries. ;
Double Room - Annex. Our country houses are located in the gardens of our hotel. They can be reached by a short walk through the open air with a few stair steps. The classic double rooms in these country houses have not yet been renovated, have carpeted floors and offer simple furnishings - an attractively priced alternative for our guests who want to enjoy our 5-star service without the full comfort of the newer room categories. The approx. 30 m² annex doublerooms with double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m) have a balcony or terrace, desk and bathroom with shower. Rooms in this category face north or east. ;
Apartment - Annex. Our country houses are located in the gardens of our hotel. They can be reached by a short walk through the open air with a few stair steps. The classic apartments in these country houses have not yet been renovated, have carpeted floors and offer simple furnishings - an attractively priced alternative for our guests who want to enjoy our 5-star service without the full comfort of the newer room categories. Our spacious approx. 45 m² annex apartments with separate living room and bedroom are suitable for up to 3 adults. The bedrooms are furnished with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m) and the sofa bed (1.40 x 1.80 m) in the living room can be pulled out. Most of the apartments have a spacious balcony or terrace, desk and bathroom with shower. Most of them offer a view of the garden or a side view of the mountains. ;
Superior Apartment - Annex. This modern superior apartment is equipped with a wooden floor. Bedroom and living room with sofa bed (1,40 x 1,80 m) are separated by a double door. The spacious balcony offers side-on or full mountain view. Please note this apartment is situated in an annex, and not in the main building. It is 50 metres away from the main building.
